Frequently Asked Questions

The car buyers at Texas Car Buyers want to help you better understand why so many people turn to us when they are looking to sell their cars, trucks, or SUVs. That is why we have created this helpful FAQ to answer most of the common questions we hear from our clients throughout the state of Texas.

What if I don’t like your offer?

We use highly accurate tools to base our offer prices on. Because our offers are based on many factors, it is critical that you are fair and accurate in providing us information on the details and the condition of the vehicle when completing the quote request form.

Can you change the offer when you see the car?

If we arrive and notice information was not disclosed in the original quote request form, then we will need to reevaluate and renegotiate the written offer. It's in everyone's best interest to be honest and accurate in the quote request form to avoid delays upon our arrival. Texas Car Buyers reserves the right to adjust the offer price upon visit if vehicle condition, make, model were overstated or misstated.

Am I bound by your offer once I accept it?

No, you are not bound. But you have many opportunities to release yourself from the process. We ask that you are certain about accepting the offer prior to our Buyers Representatives coming to your home.

Why can't you give me cash for the car?

In order to provide the utmost security to our Buyers Representatives and our customers, we pay with a company check that can be cashed immediately. Our Buyers Representatives do not carry out any cash transactions.

How different is selling my car to you versus a dealership or individual?

A dealership works with the ultimate goal of obtaining a car for the very least amount. Many use pressure tactics, such as holding your keys ransom until you're so tired that you take a low offer from them. Not only can it be an unpleasant experience, but it's also unpredictable, and as many financial experts say, it's also bound to be the least recommended way to leverage a car purchase. Selling directly to a consumer also has its unpredictability. It takes time and effort to post and purchase ads, field calls, be subjected to requests, schedule time, properly complete paperwork, etc.--all with total strangers. At Texas Car Buyers, you are dealing with a legitimate company that evaluates your car on many different levels and provides you with a quick offer. You control the situation be either accepting or rejecting the offer.

What areas do you cover?

We cover all the major metro areas of Texas. Review our coverage map page for reference. If you don't see your city listed, please go ahead and contact us anyway as we make exceptions to our coverage area.

Will you come to my location, home, work, or a mutual meeting location?

After you have accepted our offer, we contact you to schedule a convenient time to meet you and complete the transaction. For the safety of our Buyers Representatives, we use the information you have provided to verify your contact information. We can come to your location, home, work, or a mutual meeting location.
